The Hotel

Location

The Blizzard 5* is located in the heart of Val d’Isère, in the main street, 1006 avenue Olympique.
The snow front is at 150 meters from the hotel. Guests can reach it by foot or take the hotel’s private shuttle.

The hotel is strictly non-smoking.
All our rooms have balconies. The guests are requested to smoke only outside on the balcony; a pocket ashtray is available in all our rooms.
If smells of cigarettes and/or damages due to tobacco consumption are inflicted in the room, the hotel may reserve the right to invoice the cost of the cleaning service.

Free WiFi is available all over the hotel, including in the rooms.

Le Blizzard 5* offers 70 rooms (including 19 suites), which are all different.
The hotel promises to do his best to respect all the guests’ preferences, but cannot guarantee, under any circumstances, a particular room number, floor or decoration style.

Rooms are ready at 3 pm on arrival day and must be released by 12 noon on departure day. 

The hotel features a luggage service before 3 pm or if the guest wants to stay in Val d’Isère after 12 noon.

The hotel will take an imprint of the guest’s credit card upon arrival (check-in) as guarantee to cover the total amount of the services consumed during its stay and/or to cover any damage or deterioration incurred by the guest.

The visitor’s tax costs 3.74 € per night and per person from 18 y.o., to be paid upon check-out with the extras.

We offer a hypoallergenic duvet and pillows, upon request at time of booking.

The hotel does not have any extra bed.
Baby cot (up to 2 years old inclusive) can be added for free in most of the rooms.

Booking a stay

Confirmation of an option

A booking is only considered definitely confirmed when the deposit has been paid:
• 30% of the total cost of the holiday
• 50% of the total cost of the holiday (Christmas and New Year weeks, French school holidays in February)

Special offers & packages
• The full prepayment of the stay is due at time of booking
• Once paid, the stay cannot be refunded or modified

• Cancellation is possible up to 60 days (high season) /45 days before arrival: deposit refunded (100 € fee deducted)
• Between 60 days (high season)/45 days and 7 days before arrival: deposit retained
• Less than 7 days before the arrival date: the total amount of the stay is due.

Any modification of stay resulting in a reduction of the service (number of people, number of days, number of rooms) must be sent by e-mail. Only the date of receipt by LE BLIZZARD 5* is valid. The modification is only considered after written confirmation by the hotel. LE BLIZZARD 5* is entitled to refuse a modification of stay if it is not in line with the commercial policy (minimum stay for example), pricing policy and/or availabilities.

• Modification possible up to 60 days(high season) /45 days prior to arrival day: a fixed price of 50 € fee is charged
• Less than 60 days (high season)/45 days prior to arrival day: modification is no longer possible; 100% of the stay booked and specified in the booking confirmation is due in full

Cancellation insurance is not included and remain optional. Guests are strongly advised to ensure they have adequate insurance or to purchase it in addition to their stay if necessary.

A possibility with Gritchen Affinity is offered: cancellation insurance.

Confirmation of an option

Flexible rate
• A deposit equal to 30% of the total amount of the stay reserved is required (100% for a 1-night stay)
• A credit card number is required as a guarantee at time of booking
• The deposit is charged 7 days prior to arrival the day after the free cancellation deadline

The hotel’s concierge service is available 24/7 during your stay.
They contact our future guests prior to the stay to organise their arrival.

The hotel offers a shuttle service exclusively for our guests from 7.30 a.m. to 11.30 pm.
The shuttle service is common to all our guests and runs in Val d’Isère only. It is available on simple request or by calling the Reception.
Depending on demand and the number of guests, a waiting time may be unavoidable.

Parking is charged at 30 € per night and per vehicle. Our valets will collect your vehicle on arrival and park it in a nearby public, covered car park.

Le Blizzard is a Pets Friendly hotel where dogs are given a warm welcome.
There is an extra charge of 30 € per night and per animal for their stay, excluding food.
For hygienic reasons, unless otherwise stated, pets are not allowed in the dining rooms or in our Spa.
It is also necessary to ensure that they do not damage the room or its furnishings, and respect the peace and quiet of the establishment in all circumstances.

The hotel’s concierge service is available 24/7 during your stay.
They contact our future guests prior to the stay to organise their arrival.

This service is not provided during the summer season.

All car parks in Val d’Isère (outdoor and indoor) are free during the summer season.
The closest is the “Parking du Centre – P0” located 100 metres from the hotel, it is a covered and secured car park, with charging stations for electric vehicles.

The private hotel parking freely welcomes bikes and motorbikes.
For electric vehicles, we offer a charge for 25 € in the hotel’s private parking. The vehicle is then parked at the “Parking du Centre – P0” (free public car park).
We also offer parking (and charging) in the private, covered car park of our second hotel at a rate of 25 € per night (valet service included).

Le Blizzard is a Pets Friendly hotel where dogs are given a warm welcome.
There is an extra charge of 15 € per night and per animal for their stay, excluding food.
For hygienic reasons, unless otherwise stated, pets are not allowed in the dining rooms or in our Spa.
It is also necessary to ensure that they do not damage the room or its furnishings, and respect the peace and quiet of the establishment in all circumstances.

Accessibility PMR

Accessible guestroom specificities

All our rooms have an accessible safe and wardrobe rack.
A light-up vibrating alarm clock, a telephone and remote control with large buttons are available upon request.
The bathrooms of our rooms « The Superior » are spacious enough for wheelchair access and has a walk-in shower area and grab handles in the shower and toilet.

On request, we have a portable magnetic loop.
We are happy to provide a wheelchair or a pair of crutches, on simple request.

All public areas and hotel toilets are accessible to wheelchairs and feature wide corridors and entrances.
The hotel has 2 lifts.
The Reception, the Spa, the 2 restaurants and the bar are also easily accessible to wheelchairs.

Our valet service take care of your vehicle upon arrival.

We are pleased to welcome all service dogs at the hotel.

Our Concierge service can assist you in booking an instructor trained in handiskiing.

Breakfast

Our gourmet buffet-breakfast is served daily in the restaurant. Our guests enjoy a varied selection of local produce, fresh pastries, fruit and much more to get your day in Val d’Isère off to a good start.
The breakfast can also be served in the comfort of the room, with supplement.

Hours: from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Le Blizzard restaurant serves authentic fresh-from-the-market cuisine, using local and seasonal produce.
Seating from 12:00 to 13:30/14:00.
The restaurant terrace is open weather permitting.

A selection of pastries is available in the bar all afternoon.

Le Blizzard: for gourmets
Located on the first floor of the hotel, our Chef Patrice Durand offers authentic fresh-from-the-market cuisine, highlighting local and seasonal produce.
Seating from 7 pm to 9:30/10 pm.

La Luge: Savoyard specialities and rotisserie
Located on the ground floor of the hotel, all the best typical Savoyard specialities are on offer: raclette, fondue, tartiflette, vacherin, as well as dishes roasted on site, in the dining room.
Open for dinner only.
2 seatings: the first at 7.00/7.15pm, the second at 9.30pm.

La Mourra: a culinary journey between East and West
Located in the La Mourra hotel, 400 metres from the Blizzard.
Our restaurant offers Japanese-inspired and fusion cuisine, sushi bar and dishes to share.
Open for dinner only.
Seating from 7 pm to 9:30/10 pm.

The wellness centre and the Spa by Clarins are open everyday from 9 a.m. to 9 pm.

The Wellness Centre is on free access for the hotel guests.
The entrance is authorized for children of less than 16 y.o, only under the surveillance and responsibility of at least one adult.
It is a place dedicated to relaxation. The hotel highly advise their guests to respect calm and discretion.

External guests enjoy 2 hours’ access to the wellness area if they book a treatment/massage at the Spa by Clarins.

Our wellness centre of more than 200m² includes:

• an heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub on a solarium terrace facing mountains
• a sauna, a steam room and a large Jacuzzi
• a fitness room fitted with high-performance equipment
• a relaxation room with an herbal teas bar

The entrance is free for all our hotel guests.

With 2 cabins, our Clarins beauticians offer a complete range of massages and personalized Clarins body & face treatments.
With 1 cabin, our physiotherapists offer a wide range of sports or relaxing massages.

They are accessible and offered exclusively to our hotel guests (group lessons).
