After several weeks of sunshine, Le Blizzard 5* has just closed its doors for a few months before gradually turning its attention to the upcoming winter season.
This summer was marked by particularly generous weather. While France experienced several heatwaves, the mountains offered a welcome breath of fresh air. At an altitude of 1,850 metres, days were spent enjoying the great outdoors, from hikes and high-altitude adventures to relaxing by the pool and making the most of long summer evenings. Another way to experience the mountains, under the summer sun, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and at the gentle pace of alpine life.
We were delighted to welcome back our regular guests and to meet new visitors discovering Val d’Isère in summer. The flowering alpine meadows, marmots, hiking trails and surrounding peaks once again provided a beautiful backdrop to the season, with the solar eclipse adding a truly memorable highlight.
Now, the mountains are slowly beginning to change. The days are getting shorter, the first cool mornings are heralding the arrival of autumn, and our teams are already turning their attention to the season ahead. The hotel will gradually take on its winter atmosphere, preparations will begin, and the familiar energy of the house will slowly return.
In the meantime, we take with us the wonderful memories of this summer and look forward to welcoming you back once again. A new season is already taking shape on the horizon…
See you very soon at Le Blizzard 5*!

We have already reached the heart of our summer season… Days unfold to the rhythm of mountain hikes, leisurely lunches on the terrace, relaxing moments by our heated outdoor pool, and long alpine evenings where daylight seems reluctant to fade behind the peaks.
While much of France has been experiencing an intense heatwave for several weeks, Val d’Isère remains a refreshing retreat. At an altitude of 1,850 metres (6,070 ft), the mountain air stays wonderfully cool, the nights invite deep and restful sleep, and each morning begins beneath crystal-clear skies.
The alpine meadows are now in full bloom, marmots have reclaimed their favourite playgrounds, mountain streams continue to flow from the last patches of melting snow, and nature is at its most spectacular.
Here, time slows down. There is space to breathe, to wander, to reconnect, and simply to savour each moment.
At Le Blizzard, we are delighted to welcome back our loyal guests while introducing new visitors to the unique charm of summer in Val d’Isère. It is a season filled with memorable encounters, unforgettable experiences and precious moments that remind us that the mountains are every bit as magical in summer as they are in winter.
Wonderful weeks still lie ahead, filled with village events, outdoor adventures and the warm spirit of hospitality that has always defined Le Blizzard.

Summer is far from over: Le Blizzard remain open until August 23rd, and with it, there is nature, fresh air and authenticity awaiting you.
After more than two months of silence, snow-dusted peaks and nature reclaiming the mountains, Le Blizzard 5* reopens today for its summer season.
Until 23rd August, we return to our summer rhythm: crisp mornings, long days in the mountains and gentle evenings under the Val d’Isère sky.
At 1,850 metres above sea level, the air feels different. Purer, lighter, cooler. Here, you open your window in the morning and take a deep breath. You rediscover the pleasure of sleeping under a duvet in the middle of July, walking in the fresh mountain air and simply slowing down.
Summer in the mountains is a discreet luxury. The luxury of cool temperatures when the heat rises elsewhere. The luxury of silence, open spaces and time moving a little more slowly.
The hiking trails are open, the alpine meadows are in bloom, the streams still carry the meltwater of the glaciers, and the terrace of Le Blizzard 5* is waiting for the first drinks shared after a day spent in the mountains.
Our team is back, the rooms are ready, the spa is open and the village is once again embracing the energy of summer.
There is only one thing missing: you.
Whether you are joining us for a few days of complete relaxation, an active mountain escape or simply to breathe the air of the peaks, the entire team at Le Blizzard 5* is delighted to welcome you for this new summer season.

At 1,850 metres above sea level, the mountains have put on their summer colours.
Le Blizzard 5* is back, summer starts today : all that’s missing is you.
While the heatwave settles over France, up there — at 1,850 metres — another story is being written. Val d’Isère remains true to itself: the wind still carries the memory of May’s snows, mountain streams race down singing of glacial meltwater, and each evening, as the valley falls asleep, the air rediscovers a freshness we thought summer had erased.
Val d’Isère in July means keeping the heatwave at a distance — breathing air the lowlands have long forgotten. It means resting your hand on the cool stone of a mountain pasture, dipping your feet into glacial meltwater, and finally feeling the breath of a mountain that has never surrendered to summer.
On July 3rd, we will welcome you with a simple promise: here, freshness is not a summer luxury — it is a territory. A geography of breath, altitude, and silence.
And because freshness is best enjoyed when time slows down, Le Blizzard 5* offers you one more reason to extend your getaway: book 3 nights or more and enjoy 1 complimentary night.
A simple promise, designed for those who wish to give altitude the time it needs to work its magic (offer available from July 3rd to 30th, exclusively on our website).
Just 10 days left before you can breathe in the mountain air again — and a night of freshness, as a gift, for those who know how to linger.
23.06.2026
In just 10 days, freshness reaches its peak once again: on July 3rd, Le Blizzard 5* reopens its doors, bringing with it a breath of pure, crisp and invigorating mountain air.
In exactly one month, on July 3rd, Le Blizzard will reopen its doors for a new summer season, welcoming guests until August 23rd.
In the meantime, the mountains are gently awakening. With each passing day, the alpine meadows become more vibrant. Wildflowers begin to carpet the hillsides, the larch trees regain their rich green hues, and the streams, fed by the melting snow, rush energetically through the valley. After the long winter months, nature is reclaiming its place, offering one of Val d’Isère’s most beautiful spectacles.
On the sunny slopes, marmots emerge from their burrows and return to their favourite playgrounds. Hiking trails gradually reappear, inviting exploration, while the snow-capped peaks above remain a reminder of the untamed beauty of the high mountains.
This summer promises to be filled with memorable experiences and discoveries. Panoramic hikes, cycling adventures, relaxing moments at the spa, leisurely lunches on the terrace, sporting events and village festivities will set the rhythm of the season. A summer dedicated to nature, fresh mountain air and the simple pleasure of being together.
Our entire team is eagerly preparing to welcome you back and share those precious moments that make summer in Val d’Isère so special.
We look forward to seeing you on July 3rd to begin a new chapter of this wonderful alpine season together.

In Val d’Isère, winter lingers gracefully, offering its final weeks—often the most beautiful of all. Only one month remains to fully embrace its magic, before the closing of Le Blizzard 5* on April 26th.
With the arrival of daylight saving time, the days grow longer, inviting you to make the most of every moment. Mornings begin in the crisp freshness of perfectly groomed snow—enhanced by the latest overnight snowfall—while afternoons stretch on under a soft, almost golden light.
A different way of experiencing the mountains unfolds: a more peaceful atmosphere, wider open slopes, fewer crowds… and often, even greater pleasure. Skiing feels freer, more spontaneous, almost carefree.
Upon your return, Le Blizzard 5* becomes more than ever a haven—a place to savour the gentle rhythm of the season’s end, where comfort, conviviality, and shared moments come together.
These final weeks hold something truly rare: a sense of privilege, as though the mountains reveal themselves differently—more intimate, more luminous.
One last month to embrace it all.
